i love the writing about the rain. like an welcomed antagonist to the city. i think your art could be something of a story? how do you work in little fictions (writing) into a drawing? do you separate it all, or do you weave it in like it is now?
have you ever tried drawing the buildings with little words? that might be too reductive, but it would be fun to read a story and an image at the same time. i would actually say to check out some of j.a.'s recent drawings, they look like little maps, candyland style. disjointed landmarks haphazardly positioned on the page.

ReplyDeletethat's something i definitely want to play with, integrating seamless text into already "fictionalized" illustration
